At the Annual Organization of the Board of Education, the Board elected officers for 2026. Congratulations to President Lynn Davis, Vice President Jonathan Abelove and Board Clerk Allyson Muñiz Damikolas. In addition, TSMA President Will Nedderson thanked outgoing President Jonathan Stone for his year of leadership.

The Tustin Unified School District (TUSD) is excited to announce Erick Fineberg as the new Principal of Hillview High School. Mr. Fineberg will assume his new role on July 1, 2025, pending Board approval on May 19.
The Visual and Performing Arts are alive and well across Tustin Unified as we have enjoyed stellar performances at several campuses this month.

Our Annual Robotics Extravaganza showcased 80 TUSD teams including 450 students and 27 coaches competing in VEX Robotics. Elementary students highlighted their skills in the Rapid Relay, while middle and high school students competed in the high-stakes tournament.
Tustin Unified middle and high school students have an opportunity to create the 2025 Dino Dash Run and Ride for Education logo.
Tustin Unified continues to participate in the School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program, bringing free breakfast and lunch for all students to our campuses.
This week, the Tustin Kiwanis Club brought holiday cheer to Heideman Elementary School. Along with hot cocoa and holiday songs, members of the Kiwanis Club delivered 75 gifts to a room full of lucky Roadrunners.

This week in TUSD, Heideman is blending Benchmark and Orton-Gillingham to build strong phonemic awareness for kindergarteners, preparing them for increased rigor in English Language Arts.
